It was a bright sunny day as six goldwings and a trike, set out from The Swallow Hotel, the home of Goldwings North West.
Onward up the A59, bypassing Clitheroe and Skipton only to turn into the Dales at Bolton Abbey, we turned into the abbey grounds, so a group photo could be taken But the man in the hut wanted money, so we rode straight out and onward into the
Blackpool Ridesafe Rendezvous 19 April
The weather could not have been better for the Ridesafe Rendezvous this year, and I think the move to St Chads was a great idea. I wonder what prompted them to hold a bike event on St Chads headland? Jimmy Ryans Combination
Jim sent me a few pictures of his GL1500 combination the other day, they have been taken at various places and events over the years. You can find them at the Photos tag at the top of the page under “Photos 2009″ in the “previously loved bikes” gallery. His side car is quite unique in the world of combinations to be honest. Ask him about it next time you meet. Anyway, I thought this could be the start of a good idea. If you have any pictures of your pride and joy please send

Blackpool Classic Bike Show
A Mark Woodward indoor classic bike show held at the Norbreck Castle Hotel Exhibition Centre. We attended this show last year and had a really good day, lots to see and do with the facilities of the hotel as well. Bit different as all the bikes are inside the building. Usual good turnout from the public. Anyone interested in attending this show please leave a comment and let Pete know. Leaving from the Swallow Hotel at 9:00 am
