Jim Cretney says

thumbs tyres Jim Cretney saysB&C motorcycle tyre specialist’s in Farnworth did a really good job of fitting new tyres to my GL1800 Goldwing. They supplied and fitted both front & back tyres for £260.00, not a bad price. If your after new rubber then give them a go. Meeting announced a success.

thumbs njfm027 Meeting announced a success. The first meeting to be held at the Norman Jepson Hotel was today announced a  major success with 40 members attending the meeting. We welcomed one of our Isle of man contingent Mike Heathcote to his very first meeting with Goldwings North West and also received a membership application from John who lives in Bolton and rides a rather nice GL1000. Not everything went to plan with one or two issues on ordering

Early days yet!

thumbs klbbq055 Early days yet!Steve Lapsley of Goldwings East Yorkshire reports that their meeting on Sunday went well with three interested Goldwing owners attending. In reality Steve has a far harder task starting a club from zero members than either North Wales or North West ever did. That said the good news is that there is certainly interest and the club can do nothing but grow.  They are already involved with a Christmas Lights switch on event in

Jeff Thornton asks?

Sleepy Head

Jeff has asked why we are still holding our winter season monthly meetings at the same 10:00 am time slot? Good question indeed Jeff.  Seeing as we are now committed to a new venue, and to have a lunch between November and March, would it be reasonable to hold the meetings at say 11:00 am so that we could finish at a sensible lunch time.  Comments requested.

North Wales AGM

Beaufort Park HotelThis Sunday’s meeting at Goldwings North Wales is their AGM, if you remember they were the very first Federation club and they did form a few months prior to us. Can I ask as many members as possible to attend please, you can turn up in the car or the bike whatever is your wish. It would be great for them to have lots of visitors at their first AGM. I will be attending as Federation Chairman and would

How are we doing?………..

Big smiley faceAt the risk of being accused of self-congratulations, we thought that it was time to give you an update on the state of the club so far………..

On the 1st February 2009, the very first meeting of what was to become Goldwings North West took place at the Swallow Hotel. Forty-seven people attended, which did come as somewhat of a very pleasant surprise, as just like with anything new, you’re never quite sure how it’s going to be received. Various things were decided at the

Increase in Website traffic

Website visitorsVisitor numbers to our website continue to increase with November 09 report showing 10,609 individual unique visits, an increase of 2306 visitors from the previous month. Interestingly we also attract visitors from other motorcycle clubs looking for information on events and ideas for run outs. We must be doing something right. Our Webmaster Nigel Mackintosh must be congratulated on producing such a clear and easy to manage internet presence and you the membership for posting and commenting on what is obviously an attractive and interesting web site.
