Member Neil McOwen now offers MOT and tyre services from his business Red Marsh Tyres Ltd. The MOT service bay opened in September for all motorcycles, including your GoldWing so if you need an MOT or just tyres pop along to see Neil, he will even fit your own tyres if you have them. Dont forget Neil ownes a GL1500 and a GL1200 and he certainly knows his way around them. He can aslo supply tyre, brakes, exhaust and servicing for most cars and 4X4 vehicles

Balancing your wheels, front or rear, usually only takes place when its time to replace your tyres, yet we seem to forget the reason why we actually pay for this small service. The main benefits of a perfectly balanced wheel are numerous, smooth ride, better steering, longer tyre life, better grip, the list goes on. So why is it we leave all of this to chance. Surely one of the balance weights can come loose and disappear, never to be noticed .

Well no longer. WingStuff based in the USA are selling the new Centramatic wheel balancers for the GL1800, they are for both solo’s and trike outfits. Watch the video, you will be amazed at the effectiveness of the product and how simple the idea is. Pity they don’t do them for the GL1500.

Federation patches arrive.

The Federation patches have now arrived and are in the hands of Lynette Duxbury. Several members have already purchased them and you may notice they are already being proudly worn on Goldwings North West club regalia. They have been designed to be a certain size so that older insignia can be covered and favoured regalia re-used. Lynette has done a sterling job in getting both patches available for members so quickly. If you have any specific requirements regarding colour or size of garment then have a chat with her, I know that Lesley Halley already has a pink polo shirt, and I don’t think she will be the last.
