Knutsford Honda Chrome Crazy Weekend
Well I don’t think there is any chrome left at Knutsford Honda. I have never seen such a chrome crazy frenzy of wanton debauchery and credit card bashing. You could see it in their eyes as soon as they entered the showroom, Barry and Jimmy lost it immediately and carried off half the accessories only to find they couldn’t fit their goodies into the bike, most people ended up with a purchase or two, most of them bargains. There was a
Snow makes Train Trip
Once again the snow came down and turned the Keighley Worth Valley Rail Trip into a winter wonderland. It wasn’t all that bad to be honest, with most people managing to get to Ingrow West Station from all directions in time for the 11:00 train. It was quite amusing how many Sat Nav systems took drivers the short route over the moors with no consideration for the weather conditions. Maybe Garmin could do something about
Anniversary Big Success
The recent anniversary dinner dance at the Leyland Hotel was hailed a major success, although under a cloud of sorrow, the many people who attended said this was the best Christmas / anniversary party ever, and that is a tall order as we have had lots of good parties in the past. Lesley certainly played a blinder when she found this venue. I’m sure it will be difficult to go elsewhere for next years event. The number of members
Full support at AGM
The dinner dance at the Leyland Hotel was superb, and a fitting tribute to the main organiser Lesley Halley. Many members took the opportunity to dress up and had a ball, the hotel gave us a really good room rate so many also stayed over, all in all a really good anniversary celebration. View some of the many pictures taken at the party here. The official business of the Sunday morning was the very first AGM of GoldWings North

Meeting 27th December
Well who would have thought that 33 members would take the trouble to turn up to the Christmas December meeting. Ian and I expected no more than a dozen people. Thank you to those that attended and made the meeting an enjoyable affair. See you all at the Dinner Dance on January 30th.
North Wales AGM
This Sunday’s meeting at Goldwings North Wales is their AGM, if you remember they were the very first Federation club and they did form a few months prior to us. Can I ask as many members as possible to attend please, you can turn up in the car or the bike whatever is your wish. It would be great for them to have lots of visitors at their first AGM. I will be attending as Federation Chairman and would

Island Classic Vehicle event 2009 Lytham St Annes.
The very first visit to the Island Classic Vehicle event turned out to be a really good day. The highlite was just as we left the Swallow Hotel at the start of the run. Ted immediately left the pack and pulled up on the side of the road. Luckily Bill informed us on the CB that Ted had a problem, almost instantly he was back on the air telling us all was well and we carried on to Lytham St Annes. It wasn’t until half way through the day Ted was spotted brandishing a lump of twisted scrap metal and proudly telling everyone he had found it. I would have kept that quiet myself but anyway turns out the piece of junk was something that had fallen off his bike on the previous run out and Ted seeing it fall away said

Your Committee – Ian, Peter & BobSouthport Airshow 26-27th September
Well that was a good day. The meeting in the morning went well, good turn out as usual and an opportunity to chat with some of Lancs & Lakes members in the car park who were on a run out today. Good to see Garry & Joyce back in the fold and also Tony and Christine Frost back with us. Whose idea was it to go to Southport Air show after the meeting? After leaving the Swallow at 11:10 it took over 2 hours through traffic to get to Southport. It was worth it after all the messing about. The solo’s went ahead and arrived in plenty of time to see the Red Arrows doing their stuff whilst the combinations and their escort
