Free bar at Dinner Dance

thumbs christmas dinner dance 1 Free bar at Dinner Dance

84 members & guests have booked for this event and the chance to attend is now closed. It looks like being a superb evening.  The Feathers Hotel is a rather posh affair and the food and service is excellent. What wth the all inclusive bar I will be on the lookout for volunteers for the mornings AGM meeting. Have a great night!

Free – unlimited bucks fizz and canapés on arrival
Top quality international Carvery dinner.
Unlimited quality Red, White & Rose wine on the table. Drink as much as you like.
Free bar through to Midnight.
Free Fish & Chip Supper served at 11:00 pm
Top Quality Disco
Cash Bar after Midnight.
Plus a free conference room for our AGM the following morning.

All inclusive price of £34.95 per person.

Special Room rate of £60.00 per room with a complimentary bottle of chilled Cava including a full English or Continental breakfast.
I couldn’t believe it either. This will mean that you will have to book your own meal and hotel rooms individually quoting the booking reference. For this deal we have to have a minimum of 80 bookings.  If we all bring a guest couple with us we will meet the minimum number quite easily, and I’m sure our friends from Goldwings North Wales and East Yorkshire plus all our individual Federation members would be interested in coming along plus we can invite any friends and family who may be interested. Shouldn’t be too difficult to sell this to all our friends.

This is the menu choice. Its  a carvery service so you can decide what you want on the night.

Starters

A warming winter broth of cellar vegetables with barley and golden parsnips and served with cheesy herb croutons
Roasted beetroot olive and feta cheese tossed in a mint and orange salad with an aged balsamic dressing

Sage brushed fresh Cheshire turkey infused with fresh garden herbs, maple syrup chipolatas enhanced with a chestnut and cranberry stuffing.
Hot baked home roasted ham flavoured with freshly ground cinnamon and accompanied by a whole grain brandy and mustard sauce
Slowly cooked casserole of juniper lamb finished with roasted shallots, thyme and sage dumplings
Roasted salmon fillet set on garlic spinach with a shell fish and prawn sauce
Roasted butternut squash feta spinach and pine nut cake set on roasted vegetables infused with basil olive oil
With all of the above main courses, we offer freshly cooked Christmas style market vegetables

Desserts

A sumptuous sticky toffee pudding studded with plump dates and served with rich butterscotch sauce
A superb Mrs Beeton style Christmas pudding with a brandy cream sauce
A citrus fruit salad laced with Cointreau and Christmas cherries

  1. This is an incredible deal. We would have paid £23.00 at the Swallow plus a single bottle of wine is a minimum of £14.00. Thats £37.00 already before you even buy a drink. Download the event brochure from the website and have a look at what is included,£34.95 all inclusive wine and free bar, its an amazing deal. Jackie & I will certainly be inviting several guests to this anniversary celebration, and i suggest you all do the same.

  2. I already seem to amassed 6 guest at our table, our friends couldnt believe this deal. We live in Leyland and this hotel is known to be a little bit “posh” and pricey, but all the best weddings are held here! I am so glad I called in on the off chance, thinking I would faint at the price they would quote us, and came away with the biggest grin ever, In fact folk when I rang Bob about it he made me repeat the deal several times and still didnt believe me, especially the part when I told him if you finish a bottle of wine on your table you just hold the bottle up in the air and they change it for a full one (Bob being a guy who likes a little wine!)

The room price for an overnight stay also includes a full english breakfast, or if you cant stomach that you could go for pancakes etc, full use of swimming pool, jaccuzi and sauna

Cant wait for this to happen now!!!!

  3. I’m for it, I just wonder if they’ll book a second night if we wanted one, after we’ve drunk them dry, (they don’t know how much alcohol we can consume in one night) we won’t have to buy any drinks till midnight. Fantastic value I say, we’re coming. Get it booked.

  4. Well done little Sis!! Hope I’m one of the 6 that you mention!

  5. Just sent a email to our other colonial. Hopefully we’ll get there. Looks fantastic
    Royce & Pat.

  6. oh what decadence free vodka all night oh dear what a shame my poor head will suffer in the morning but hey a free 1 that makes it better bring it on and lets P A R T Y !!!!!!

  7. hope there will be some rave type music and glowsticks – can’t do a party without it. will bring my collection of glenn miller then ………..waltz anyone

  8. Great deal – we are booked and lots of interest from other GNWales members.

  9. Dave
Great to see you and Janet booked into the dinner dance. Dress code is looking like it will be formal, so lots of opportunity for the ladies to get dressed up. Gentlemen in black tie is the order of the day. Don’t let that put anyone off though, if you want to come in vest & underpants thats OK too. It’s a celebration of GoldWings North West’s first year as a member club of the Federation of United Kingdom Goldwing Clubs. We have had an amazing first 12 months and we hope it will continue. Me and Jackie look forward to seeing you both.

  10. can i wear a black dickie bow and pvc shorts?? or is that too formal cos by then will be slim

  11. No you cant wear a dickie bow, you can wear a bow tie around your neck like everyone else.

  12. Bob,

Thanks for the invite to the event and just to let you know that I have just this minute booked Andrea and I in to the hotel for the meal and stay over.

We are really looking forward to the do.

  13. Your very welcome, I think everyone is looking forward to this. Its an incredible deal, personally I still dont believe it. It wil be a great end to a dramatic year for us all at Goldwings North West. Looking forward to seeing you both and maybe having a proper chat rather than a quick hello.

  14. ok bob I’ll wear a bow tie like everyone else and a flying helmet then!!!

  15. We are booked in and paid for as are our guest.. cant wait!!

  16. Great news Lesley!!! Must go frock shopping!!

  17. Don’t forget we must all have booked by the 2nd January for this Dinner Dance. The deadline is strict to enable the hotel to plan the event. You wont be able to come cap in hand asking for a few more places. All you have to pay for is the meal per person when you book. If you plan to stay over just book the room and pay on departure. The positive side is that no one has the responsibility to collect payment on the night with the potential for a shortfall in money. Believe me, thats a godsend, so pick up the phone and call all your friends and family and invite them to the doo, then ring the Hotel and make your reservations. Its going to be heavily supported so don’t miss out. Goldwings North Wales have already booked several rooms and I’m in no doubt there will be a contingent from East Yorkshire as well.

  18. booked in and paid plus Chris an Kim

  19. We’ve booked too, it’s gonna be a great night.
Like the gravitar Ted, hope he lands safe.

  20. oh no its Satans teddy!!!!

  22. WE’VE BOOKED AND PAID 4. SATAN’S BEAR IN DRAG (OH THAT WAS BAD – DRAG SHUTE ON PARA HAHA)

  23. Booked for Pat and myself.
    Royce

  24. Cant wait for this, Bob and I nipped to the hotel today to finalise the arrangements and I must say folk your smacks are going to be gobbed!!!!

  25. This time next week, we will all be a little tipsy or worse!!!

  26. Oh it will be worse, very much worse.

  27. WE NEED TO KEEP A CLEAR HEAD FOR THE AGM THE MORNING AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE. Cheers everyone.

  28. Judy Goodman wrote
“WE NEED TO KEEP A CLEAR HEAD FOR THE AGM THE MORNING AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE”

But her gravatar gives it all away, standing there with the biggest glass of beer you’ve ever seen.

  29. You will be fine Judy after a large full english breakfast!

  30. Bob, as I remember when we had those rather large beers, you had some too, in Riems, remember?

  31. bugger, you remembered!
