Bring & Buy / Run out Weekend – Saturday 3rd September
This is a new idea from Goldwings North Wales. They have kindly invited us to their Bring & Buy weekend which takes place on Saturday 3rd September and comprises (if you dont want to take part in the ride out you can go direct to Dave & Lyn Crowleys for the bring and buy for 5:00 pm. Car or bike whatever you wish) taking part in the “Great Brain Ride 2011″ during the day starting from St Georges Hall, Lime Street Liverpool to the Ponderosa via Petrol Heads Cafe. in aid of “Bikers for Neurosupport” No doubt we can join the ride somewhere along the route.
Followed by the bring & buy sale between 5pm-7 pm and to be held at the home of Dave & Lyn Crowley, who has by all accounts a fair acre of land and various outbuildings in which to host the event. This is a great opportunity to sell off all those Goldwing bits and spares you don’t really need and the boots and leathers that have somehow mysteriously shrunk since last season. Alternatively that special item you have been searching for across the global reaches of Ebay could just be sat there at ridiculously low cost waiting to be repatriated, anything Goldwing related can be put up for sale or purchased. After the bring & buy finishes the evening will completed by a ”Tweenie” which, if I understand correctly is a social gathering between monthly meetings held at various members homes, hence the name. Very cute. Bring along whatever culinary masterpiece you want to share and enjoy with other participants of the tweenie. It was Dave & Lyn’s idea to also invite anyone who has a motor home, tent or caravan to stay over for the night and make a weekend of the event and fully enjoy the social activities. You can arrive at Dave’s on Friday 2nd and camp overnight ready for the ride out or arrive early Saturday morning. Dave & Lyn live just off the A541 road near Caergwrie (between Wrexham & Mold)
If you wish to stay over at Dave’s place he needs to know numbers of camping units, apparantly he has water, disposal and toilet facilities externally on site at his home, sounds like a caravan site, but he needs to be sure he can accomodate those who wish to attend. You can either contact Dave Crowley direct on his mobile 07774 161 372 or leave a comment here and and we can contact Dave with Goldwings North West members interest. Sounds like a good weekend!
