Southport Air Show 18-19 September
The Southport Air Show is celebrating its 19th year and is the biggest aviation show in the North West. With a comprehensive flying programme including the spectacular Red Arrows, military and civilian aircraft, jets, helicopters, aerobatics and parachute displays, it guarantees to take your breath away. The whole family will be entertained inbetween the flying activity with the Air Show village, aviation marquee and simulators. Saturday is the best day to attend as the Red Arrows are performing on that day only. If you are going we usually park our bikes down by the side of the Pier next to the Cafe, and as long as we use the facilities of the cafe they dont appear to mind. The show is open from 09:00 to 17:00, tickets if you really want to be right on the beech are £5.00 if purchased in advance, or £8.00 on the day. There doesn’t appear to be a set ride in time to go to Southport Airshow. I suspect this is due to the many directions from which we would all arrive from. Suggest Saturday is the better day and we arrive as and when we like. You may also do the Sunday. Unfortunately I am committed elsewhere for the weekend. Enjoy!
