Brian Stanford sends greetings

thumbs llandudno 25 Brian Stanford sends greetingsYou may have noticed that Brian hasn’t been to club meetings for several months and we haven’t seen his Ferrari side car combination on run outs and events. I spoke to Brian recently and he confirms that he has finished his medical treatment and is feeling a lot better. In fact he sounded his usual self over the phone.  He  misses coming to the club and taking part in events and especially the friendship and constant ribbing he gets fromthumbs noid woodvale 086 Brian Stanford sends greetingssovereign of the seas 787 150x150 Brian Stanford sends greetings us all. The Doctors expect to see him again in several weeks with hopefully some positive news. Brian knows he has a few uncomfortable days ahead of him but he is making good use of his time and has nearly finished building his model ship “Sovereign of the Sea’s” He intends to be with us at Scorton or the very latest RAF Woodvale.  He sends his best regards to everyone and looks forward to seeing us all again soon.

  1. All the best Brian, hope to see you again very soon.

    Andrea & Adrian

  2. Here’s to a speedy recovery Brian. We all miss your smiles and anecdotes. We know Brian is not on the net so hope somebody can relay our comments to him.

    Roger

  3. Roger
If you click on his photo his telephone number is there. Anyone can ring him and say hello, I know I would be chuffed if I got a phone call out of the blue wishing me well. But then i’m an old softy.

  4. By the way, that ship; “Sovereign of the Seas” is worth over £500 alone in kit form, thats before he does any work on it. As a fully constructed model its got to be worth in excess of £2,000 considering the time and workmanship that goes into creating such a work of art. It would be worth the trip to see Brian just to see his many model ships he has constructed over the years.

  5. We can vouch for Brians ships being beautiful, the ‘Sovereign of the Seas’ is outstanding, even before it’s finished, the detail is magnificent and all done by Brian. He certainly has something to be proud of. We called to see him and he was so pleased to see us,just as it was so good to see him. Get well soon Brian and return to the fold.

  6. Get well soon Brian hope to see you at Woodvale.
Just to let you know the painting you did for us of our red 1500 at the grand canyon is still in pride of place in our house and visitors still think it is fantastic .
