Hello, Good Morning and Welcome!
Especially to all our new members who have recently joined us, a significant number at this morning’s meeting at the Norman Jepson. It was really nice to see some familiar faces together with some new ones joining us for the first time. So, allow me to extend a warm welcome to our nine new members, Graham Brookfield, Simon and Jayne Scholes, Phillip and Sue Evans, Richard and Chris Chatham, Paul McCann and not forgetting Simon Nickalls. I’m sure that you’ll all make them feel at home with us and look forwards to many happy times ahead.
I’m also sure that you’ll be pleased to know that this now, according to Mr Fox, our esteemed Secretary, raises our membership total to 50. Again, just to remind everyone, this is memberships, not individuals, many memberships covering two people, thus it’s more than reasonably safe to say that we now have over 75 individuals within the club (I’m sure Steve will correct me if I’m wrong with a more accurate figure – I’d ask him now, but he’s just come off night shift and will be sleeping………shhh…). Not bad for a Club just over a year old, eh?
In fact, Simon and Jayne had come along to the meeting having only had their Trike for three weeks, and having seen our website, thought that it was worth the journey from Oldham to come and see what we were all about. I’m glad to say that they apparently did like what they found and not only joined there and then, but also came out with us on our run out to Settle after the meeting.
Graham is a familiar face to many of you within the club, and it was a pleasant surprise to see him this morning, and an even more pleasant one to find out that he too has decided to become part of our merry band.
Unfortunately, I haven’t yet had chance to speak to the other guys, but don’t worry, I’ll get you next time!
Welcome to you all!

Hi Ian and fellow individual members,
Here are the official figures of our club:
Membership now at 51
Individuals = 79
5 x 1500cc based trikes
4 x 1800cc based trikes
Equal number of 1800′s verse 1500′s solo bikes
Membership covers complete range of Goldwings from 1000, 1100, 1200, 1500 and 1800.
Also we forgot to welcome Simon Nickalls wife Lynne and Lyne shaw who also joined our brilliant club this season.
I am so pleased that Goldwings North West is going from strength to strength with more rides, events and most of all FUN in 2010! We have listened/learnt/improved from comments made in our first year and are making progress in offering more for individuals.
If you own/like to own/or just like the Goldwing motorcycle take a close look at what we can offer because not only is our club value for money, (£1 per calender month, YES, in layman’s terms “LESS THAN A LITRE OF PETROL!”), we also have the freedom of choice and liability insurance cover is thrown in too(priceless!).
Thank you to all for making Goldwings North West your club of choice and a success.
Steven Fox
secretary GWNW

What about Brians combination. I assume he has renewed his membership.
As for 1500 and 1800 memberships are you saying 21 of each?
Not bad for a young club just into its second year.
