Meetings now at 10:30 am
Goldwings North West meetings will now take place at the Norman Jepson Hotel just off the M6 junction 31a.
The Norman Jepson offers excellent facilities, a great selection of wines and beers at the bar and a superb breakfast and lunch menu. The agreement is we have the free use of a meeting room in exchange for our members ordering a meal whilst we are there. From November through to March we will be having Sunday Lunch £5.95 and from April through to October a choice of breakfast options based on either a continental breakfast inc tea or coffee at £5.25 or the full breakfast which is all you can eat full English, including the continental option and tea & coffee included £7.50 or you can have whatever you wish from a very extensive menu. We are very lucky to have found such a venue on our doorstep, thanks to Frank & Judy Goodman for seeing the opportunity and arranging our new meeting spot. See you all at the Norman Jepson on the 29th November.

The deal is a free meeting room in exchange for us having a meal. The menu is excellent and the prices are reasonable. We are relying on each and everyone of us supporting this deal otherwise we will end up paying for a room. The last quotes we got from the Swallow on the upstairs room we used to have was £100 a meeting. So as you can see its a pretty good swap. Look forward to seeing you all at the new venue

Well done to frank & judy for getting the venue lets hope we all dig in and make this our home.
But that said we must say a big thanks to the swallow for the past year. We have enjoyed a good meeting place over the last year.
So onwards and upwards G.N.W.

Just to clarify what Bob posted, the deal isn’t dependent on everybody having a meal, but we do need a significant number per meeting (hopefully around 50%) to eat there on the day.
Given that we’ve been paying £5 for breakfast, served in the meeting room, an extra 95p for a Sunday lunch, served in a comfortable dining room seems like a much better deal to me!
And, of course, the breakfast options are better for not only the ladies who prefer a lighter breakfast, but also for the hungry lads who can go for the ‘all you can eat’ option.
We now have a newer and more modern venue, with improved food and service, and will still get the room for free, so it can’t get much better than that, can it?
You don’t have to eat at every meeting, but if we can provide a consistent turnover per month, it’s a win-win situation for us (a reasonably priced lunch/breakfast), the Club (free room hire) and the Hotel (increased income) – everyone wins!
Please show your support for the Hotel, as they’re supporting us.

Well done Frank & Judy This sounds like a good venue for our club, and so easy to get to. It will be sad to leave the Swallow after such a long time. Trust a trucker to find a good deal on some food, also will Brian be informend of the change?. See you all on the 29th.

Look forward to seeing everyone again at this new venue in a few weeks time. I would prefer to get breakfast, so will be there say at 0900hrs (anyone else going to be there at that time?) to feed first before meeting and then get off afterwards.
Are we still getting the Ultra Seal guy in to do our wheels? This was mentioned at the last meeting.

Ok, from the top……..
All members should have received my earlier e-mail, and for those without PC’s, I’ve rung and spoken to them about the change, so yes, Brian will still be with us!
Before I book the Ultraseal Guy, I want to have a word with the hotel to make sure they’re ok about it. Can’t see that they’ll bother, but don’t want to risk upsetting them at this early stage. If ok, I’ll try to get him for this month.

Just a thought, if you do get to the new meeting point early 9:00 am and have a breakfast please mention that you are from Goldwings North West so that the staff can monitor our purchases. It would be daft not too

Jackie and I had the Sunday Lunch at the Norman Jepson today, I went for the “Go Large” option and paid the extra £2:00 on the £5.95 price. What a treat, three yorkshire puds, several slices of roast beef and loads of veg and roast potatoes. We shall do well here!

Ian,
Can the Ultraseal guy come on Sun and do those who want their tires doing? Have you secured the permission of the venue for it to happen?

Hi Adrian,
Spoken to Bob re this and we felt it better to get the initial meeting out of the way before broaching the subject with the hotel. Will get numbers for next meeting – don’t think he’ll be too busy this time of year!
