Detail shape’s Light Parade
Light Parade 2006
The final details are now taking shape nicely for this years Blackpool light parade. We have had to manage quite a few problems this year but most of the major hurdles are now sorted. We had positive news from the Police that they can provide us with a Green Light at Squires Gate Traffic lights and also some cover at Gynn Square at the opposite end of the promenade,. The evening’s entertainment at Pontins promises to be spectacular with plenty of Pontins glamour, plus we will have Knutsford Honda in attendance over the weekend. Lots of other minor stuff to pull together but you couldn’t ask for much more.
The team are really looking forward to welcoming you all to Blackpool again this year. It’s going to be a great weekend

Dont forget when you come and visit Blackpool there are great shows from Ken Webster (Adult Hypnotizer), the Grunbleweeds in the Horseshoe showbar in the Pleasure Beach, Freddie Star on North Pier and the great Circus at the Tower.
I am looking forward to the Light Parade it was great last year, fingers crossed the weather will be good.

Barry had a rare night at home last night, did we spend it relaxing, did we heck!
Thats four more lots of lights fitted to the bike, and Barry being the kind sort of hubby that he is has actually left the bike out for me to fit another 240 leds to it whilst he is at work… lovely!!
But Blackpool is coming along at an alarming rate now and I may just have become Alan Carrs stalker too, he and Emma Forbes are doing a live radio show on the Saturday night between 6 and 8 from a tram on Blackpool front, maybe a few more emails to him at radio 2 from our goldwing community may get us bigger mentions on the radio in the next few weeks??

Like the idea of a mention on the radio. In fact we visited the Radio 2 bus last year on a Goldwing just after the light parade itself. Can I appoint you media guru for the club and ask you to explore the opportunities of us visiting Radio 2 and taking someone for a ride down the prom. Maybe during the light parade. Fancy having a crack at this?

I may have already told Alan to bring his leathers with him, I would imagine Blackpool + Alan he may already do so, and we would find him a helmet. Will see what I can do, but I aint speaking on a radio show, that can be down to someone else!
