UK Goldwing display Team – To be formed.

Well it looks like the next big thing could possibly be the formation of a UK Goldwing display team. Similar to that which we hosted at the 2008 Goldwing Light Parade. Ever since Randy, the team Captain, and the World Champion Motorcycle display team visited the UK there has been mutterings of doing something similar here. The interest level was immediate and several volunteers started to pick up the basic moves early in 2008. The recent RAF Woodvale rally prompted a few practise manoeuvres on the runway and got everyone motivated to go onto greater things. There is an invitation on Stuarts Goldwing Blog to all Goldwing Riders who may be interested in setting up a UK based team to make contact and start the process rolling.

A few Goldwings North West members have visited the Display team on their home patch in Florida several times and always been amazed at the skills, dedication and camaraderie on display. Personally I think this is a great idea and would encourage anyone who has an interest in riding their Goldwing well and also learning some very impressive display skills to think seriously about getting involved. Many of us witnessed their 4 man team perform some amazing manoeuvres at the 2008 Goldwing Light Parade.
