Colin Appleyard’s open day – 5th April

On behalf of the staff and helpers of Colin Appleyards I would like to thank all of you for helping make Sundays open day, one of the best. Over 400 goldwing owners attended, (300 + machines) we served 400 meals, and collected over £400 for the local Manorlands Cancer Hospice. Mr Tony Atwill, won the best 3 wheeler award, Mr Geoff Chandler won the best solo award, (with a stunning gl1100) the furthest travelled is still to be sorted. We would like to thank, Tony Walton (Yorks rep) for judging the awards , and also Steve (spanners) Spence, Ray Lomax, Chris Easter, and Dave (the scribe) Sharp, for organising and marshalling the parking. all day. plus, Julie Sharp, and Tina (the wife) for running inscription, all these folk gave their time up freely to help, so a very big thank you.
The sun shone, the bikes gleamed, and it was truly great to see so many enjoying the day. meeting old friends, and making new ones. thank you all.
