North Wales AGM

Beaufort Park Hotel North Wales AGMThis Sunday’s meeting at Goldwings North Wales is their AGM, if you remember they were the very first Federation club and they did form a few months prior to us. Can I ask as many members as possible to attend please, you can turn up in the car or the bike whatever is your wish. It would be great for them to have lots of visitors at their first AGM. I will be attending as Federation Chairman and would really appreciate your support.

Goldwings North Wales  meet at the Beaufort Park Hotel in New Brighton Mold, there a friendly bunch who know how to look after visitors. We could maybe drum up some support for our Christmas Dinner Dance. The meeting starts at 11:00am so its an easy day.  Leave a comment if you are interested.

  9. Hi all.
I’m sorry but we can’t make the AGM, we made arrangements to go to see our daughter in Carlisle, it’s the only sunday she’s had off work for months.
Please give our apologies, with our congratulations on the 1st year of Goldwings North Wales.
    See you all soon xxxx

No problem, Judy – though why you’d want to come to a boring AGM anyway beats me!

and who may that be then Dave, everyone is eligible for the post if they wish to stand, don’t jump to any conclusions. Personally I would love to see several candidates for each post on the committee. We have some very talented members who would jump at the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and leadership to the club. You yourself could even be interested in taking a post on the committee.

  15. I will take that offer up Bob thank you

  16. Dave, its not an offer, its your right to stand on the committee as a member of Goldwings North West..
What time will you be leaving your meet point with Lesley & Barry?. We now have two places available in my car as Ian & Lynette can’t make it. We plan to set off a bit earlier around 9:30 from home and probably be at the Leyland junction M6 area around 10:00 am ish. Give me a call around that time and see if we can all meet up.

  17. WHAT A VERY VERY NICE DAY WAS HAD BY ALL AT WALES 2 DAY. A VERY WARM WELCOME WAS EXTENDED TO THE NORTHWEST MEMBERS WHO CAME TO THE AGM/MEETING. A WONDERFUL MEAL AFTER AND THEN COFFEE AND BISCUITS IN THE MOST WONDERFUL HOUSE SITUATED IN THE COUNTRYSIDE, AND A CHAT….. WATCHING WILDLIFE CLOSE HAND AND TO CAP IT ALL MADE A NEW FRIEND STEVE. CAN HEAR MY WELSH ROUTES CALLING ME HOME….AND A WONDERFUL VOICE ENTERTAINED US WITH A COUPLE OF SONGS.. WHAT A VOICE STRAIGHT FROM THE VALLEYS. VERY PROUD GOLDWING MEMBER HERE ALONG WITH HIS FAMILY .. THANKS BOB

  18. It was lovely to see so many of you at our AGM and a pleasure to give you all refreshments at our house.

    Thanks for coming, Joanna

  19. It was a pleasure, and always a treat to be in the kitchen at Mackintosh towers. Thank you both for your hospitality as always.

  20. what a house u have joanna and the wildlife u are so lucky.

  21. I like the new name – can I change from The Chase to Mackintosh Towers I wonder?

I counted up and there were 29 GoldWingers (well, 28.5!) here on Sunday – just about a houseful I reckon.

As you yourself know, Bob, Nigel and I have always enjoyed using the space we have here to entertain our Winging friends. Over the last 10 years, we have held inter-region music quizes, barbecues, bonfire parties, New Years Eve parties, mid-month socials, karaoke nights and many post-rideout chill-outs – we even hosted the inaugural meeting of GoldWings North Wales here.

As we are so close to the Beaufort Park Hotel where our meetings are held, after our club meeting/Christmas lunch next month we’ll be inviting everyone to pop round here again for further refreshments and to continue the festivities for as long as people wish to stay – so I do hope you and some of your members from up north will be here again.
