Knutsford Honda – Run out
A full report on the ride out can be found here on Stuarts blog.
Sean at Knutsford Honda, the main sponsors of the Blackpool Illuminations Goldwing Light Parade, is taking into stock a wide selection of Goldwing accessories and the room they are converting to house this stock should be up and running within a couple of weeks.
The company is keen to re-develop their Goldwing business. We had been invited to drop into the new Knutsford Honda premises for a chat and a coffee, so this Ride-Out was our chance to do so as a Club.
The weather was a bit marginal, which might have puts some riders off but three bikes set off from the Swallow Hotel and were joined by a fourth (Barry) en route, and several other bikes and trikes had gone directly to Knutsford Honda.
Salesman Mike served us with hot drinks and croissants s and there were three GL1800s on display in the showroom, one of which had already been sold. Their black demonstrator is now up for sale and they have a very nice silver 2007 Wing at an attractive price.
A dozen or so of our bikes were lined up outside and this served to atrract some passing bikers – including the owner of an exceptional black GL1000 with Vetter fairing owned by Steve Hands who happened to be riding past with his daughter. Steve seemed a very nice chap but his bike was even nicer!
Eric Warburton, proprietor of Knutsford Honda, turned up for a chat too, so all in all it was a very sociable hour or so before we dispersed, several bikes joining Stuart who led a ride to the Cat & Fiddle.

Well what can I say that Stuart hasn’t already said on his blog about todays rideout.
It started of at Knutsford Honda after a couple of cups of welcome coffee and a good chat.
Then we set of to the Cat and Fiddle, even with a brisk wind the day turned out to be a cracking ride out.The superb views from upon the hills added to the thrill of going up the Cat and Fiddle.
Those who could not attend missed a really good run.
Once at the top we had a break and a brew ( and some over priced chips )It was a source of fun seeing the race bikers having a sneaky look around the wings. Some evn chatting ?.
Thanks to Stuart for leading a very interesting run out.
must go again sometime.
another GNW winner
thanks to all

We had a great day too – we went on some proper triking roads!! Will be finding out how good Knutsford honda are by giving them a task to do – that will give us an idea on the
service i think. We had a nice luncheon at the crushed garlic on our way home just before the rain.
