Display Lighting Workshop 18th April – Bill Squires

thumbs workshop 7 Display Lighting Workshop 18th April Bill SquiresSeveral members took advantage of this workshop and made the journey over to Grimsargh to spend the day in Bills garage. Jim Melia and Pete Rodgers came away happy bunnies after fitting several light systems and switch boxes between them. Personally I acquired every blue l.e.d. light i could find in the place, you never know when they may come in handy. Barbara provided lunch for the visitors which was very much appreciated by all. Its nice to be looked after. My thanks to both Bill & Barbara for giving up their time and expertise on such a glorious sunny day and for opening their kitchen and garage to Goldwings North West Members.

  1. Better had to make sure I have done it right lol!!

  2. I know Bill and myself have spoken about lighting already and the chance to check mine out properly and also change things if necessary will be an opportunity not to be missed. Count me in!!!!!

  3. Yes please Bill.

  4. The directions to my place

  5. Hi Bill,
Proberly a daft question, but will there be any lights for sale at your place which can then be fitted on, not sure if a dealer was invited etc?

    Kind regards

  6. Pete
The official answer is probably no, but have you seen Bills garage, especially the worshop area at the back of the building. More goodies than Appleyards open day. As for lights, well Bill is like a magpie, anthing shiny and bright usually catches his eye. Ask, and you shall be rewarded.

  7. Hi PETER I do have a very limited number of lights left over from lighting my bike, come and have a look ,no obligation if they are not what you want. Regards Bill

  8. Sorry we didnt make today, someone who shall remain nameless was going to fix a small hole in the utility room ceiling this morning before we were to go out……. we now have a complete new ceiling !!!!

  9. A big THANK YOU to Bill and Babs for their kindness for running the Lighting Workshop. Bill did a fantastic job on my wing along with Jimmy’s and between us all, we raided Bill’s ‘goody’ box for light bits, I had to fight off Bob for some of the stips, but he got the blue bits! Bill then helped us to fit the lights to our bikes. Babs kept us all supplied with food and drink all day and it was a most enjoyable day.
Thanks again to Shamus O’Squires and the good Lady Babs.

    Pete Rodgers.

  10. A message for Bob Summers……Bob you know that Blue won’t do……it has to be RED or DEAD………Nice to see that you are all beavering away trying to steal my Title away……….LOL

  11. Hi Joe
Good to hear from you, yes the blues are only a replacement for the damaged lights from the accident. Although you know what it’s like when you start adding more lights. you just don’t know when to stop. I’ve been working on a handicapping system for you at the light parade this year. Since you have won so many previous “best lit” awards i think it’s only fair that you turn off 50% of your lights so that everyone else has a chance. Either that or your barred. Ha.
Take care and see you soon
    Bob
