Blackpool Ridesafe Rendezvous 19 April
The weather could not have been better for the Ridesafe Rendezvous this year, and I think the move to St Chads was a great idea. I wonder what prompted them to hold a bike event on St Chads headland? The large area on the promenade provided the opportunity to hold the bike stunt displays, stage, and vendor stalls in close proximity to the visitors, which made everything easier to find without missing any of the action or bargains. There were some amazing bikes on display and it was good to see plenty of Goldwings in attendance, we even had enquiries for membership on the day. There are plenty of pictures from the event posted in Photos 2009 under Ridesafe Rendezvous

I didnt know about this event, thanks. I will add it to my blackpoolevents site as it was a great day last year. Hopefully this years will be even better, maybe in years to come it will be over a number of headlands.

10. Wasn’t sure whether other rider was waving or making an obscene gesture.
9. Afraid might get frostbite if hand is removed from heated grip.
8. Has arthritis and the past 400 miles have made it difficult to raise arm.
7. Reflection from etched windshield momentarily blinded him.
6. The espresso machine just finished.
5. Was actually asleep when other rider waved.
4. Was in a three-way conference call with stockbroker and accessories dealer.
3. Was distracted by odd shaped blip on radar screen.
2. Was simultaneously adjusting the air suspension, seat height, programmable CD player, seat temperature, and satellite navigation system.
1. Couldn’t find the “auto wave back” button on dashboard.
Must add Barry and I alway wave or at least nod, and when my brother in law Simon gets on the back he invents a mini egg run or light parade in his head and waves to everyone be they on a bike or not lol!!!
